Ryan earned his Bachelor of Health Science in 1999 and Masters Degree of Physical Therapy in 2001 from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Since then he has practiced in orthopedic settings focusing on Manual Therapy techniques such as Myofascial Release, joint mobilization, and Mulligan spinal mobilization. He has extensive experience in post-surgical rehabilitation of total knee and total hip replacements, rotator cuff tears, and ligamentous injuries of the knee.
He played for the Division 1 Men's Golf Team at Quinnipiac University and has attended numerous continuing education courses in rehabilitation of baseball- and golf-related injuries.
